Roll It Sushi & Teriyaki is a bustling sushi spot located inside the Citadel Outlets food court in Los Angeles, offering a practical option for those seeking a quick, filling Japanese meal without the formality of a sit-down restaurant. The atmosphere here is typical of a food court — casual, with limited seating mostly outdoors or shared tables nearby, making it convenient for shoppers or office workers in the area looking for a steady lunchtime or early dinner option.

What stands out about Roll It Sushi & Teriyaki is its variety-driven menu, especially the bento boxes that combine several familiar favorites into one tray. Options like the Chicken Bento Box or Salmon Bento Box come with rice, salad, potstickers, edamame, and a choice of sushi roll, delivering a satisfying mix of flavors and textures in a single meal. The portions are generous enough that leftovers are common, which appeals to those who want good value or a meal that stretches into the next day.

Sushi rolls here are made to order and sliced into the standard eight pieces, with classic selections such as California Crab Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and specialty offerings like Seared Salmon Roll and Spider Roll. The sushi is fresh, though it’s best described as straightforward rather than upscale — fitting the food court setting. Besides sushi, the menu expands to teriyaki meat bowls, udon soups, and combination plates like Shrimp and Chicken Katsu, offering comforting, familiar tastes that work well for people seeking quick, satisfying comfort food.

Roll It is well-suited for individuals or small groups looking for a no-fuss meal during a shopping break or a quick work lunch. Given the location, parking enforcement can be strict, so timing your visit to avoid peak outlet hours might be beneficial. While the environment won’t provide a traditional dining experience, the service is generally efficient, which keeps the line moving even during busy times.

Overall, this spot is best for anyone who appreciates a reliable, mid-priced Japanese combo meal in a casual setting. Locals and outlet visitors alike come here for a filling bite that pairs well with a stroll through the adjacent shops, making it less about atmosphere and more about practical, reasonably fresh sushi-and-teriyaki fare on the go.

Great sushi spot that’s been around for a while. Prices are average and the food is good.

I was looking for a good bento box which i found here. It is inside the Oultets in Citadel food court. 40min of parking absolutely enforced. Service was fast and good amount of food, flavor was ok. Fresh ingredients. Thanks.

We got 2 bento boxes, mine is with chicken and his is wife beef. It comes over rice, edamame, gyoza, chicken karage, salad, and your choice of roll. I chose the salmon roll. Overall, this was a pretty good bento box. Super filling and I had leftovers for the next day :) Also got a sashimi salad which was pretty good! There was 5 different pieces of sashimi and was all super good & fresh!

Made to order sushi rolls, which are cut into 8 pieces of sushi to eat. They have a variety of choices of sushi, including Salmon, Tuna and Prawn to name a few. Other specialty suahi rolls are available too. The teriyaki combination meat Bowl was really good value and delicious too. Takeaway or eat outside at the tables

4 stars for good court food is considered good. It will never compare to a sit down restaurant. However, paying $14.95 USD for a chicken teriyaki bento box is somewhat affordable and they give a good amount of food. Shrimp with chicken katsu for $12.95 USD was good. Everywhere else had super long line up so we went here. Glad we did.

As an Asian I can guarantee that this one is definitely better than the Panda express, which is just next to each other’s. And the most important is that this one no need to wait for the line Tho it’s a but expensive, but totally worth it

I ordered the crustacean roll which has soft shell crab, shrimp tempura, crab meat, avocado, cucumber, and eel sauce. They are huge rolls! Not your typical sushi roll sizes. I also ordered the steak bento box which included: edamame, rice with the steak, sesame chicken, salad, crab roll, and potstickers. Delicious!
